Join designBridge in an exploration of one of the world’s most prolific building materials: concrete. Experiment in color and with inlaid objects while creating both permeable and impermeable pavers for the patio of a current designBridge project in Eugene. We will use aggregate materials from the waste stream and will also investigate other options for lowering the environmental impacts associated with traditional concrete. Come with your ideas and a willingness to learn about this wonderful material that Louis Kahn called “liquid stone.” This workshop will be very messy, so dress appropriately.
