Ecovillage and Permaculture Certificate Programs (EPCP)

This link provides information about our winter, summer, and fall courses.

Winter: November 30 – December 13, 2006 Summer: June 18 – August 10, 2007 Fall: TBA, 2007

In addition to a full permaculture design certificate course, this dynamic residential program provides a holistic introduction to social permaculture, ecovillage design and implementation, and community living. Most Universities offer students upper division credit, through program participation.

Contains design guidelines for green housing projects from the neighborhood scale to the component scale. Includes introduction sections for Designers & Builders, Policy Makers, Developers and Homeowners.



Global Green USA

"Global Green USA establishes collaborative partnerships with local governments, affordable housing organizations, and other public and private entities to facilitate the development, adoption, and implementation of sustainable policies, programs, and practices."

The website contains design guidelines and fact-sheets, several case-studies, and a summary report from a green homes charrette with the city of West Hollywood.



Green Affordable Housing Coalition

"The Green Affordable Housing Coalition is a coalition of San Francisco Bay Area public-sector and private-sector professionals committed to incorporating green building practices into the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of affordable housing."

The website includes several case studies of green buildings of all building types (especially of housing in the Bay Area) and links to many resources for designing, building and financing green buildings. The resources are primarily focused around the Bay Area, but many of them apply to other parts of the country as well.
